David A. F. Sweet has written about sports since 1990. “Three Seconds in Munich: The Controversial 1972 Olympic Basketball Final” is his second book. “Lamar Hunt: The Gentle Giant Who Revolutionized Professional Sports” was his first. He worked as a reporter and columnist for WSJ.com at Dow Jones headquarters in New York City, and he launched the “Nothing but Net” column about the business of sports on the Web there in 1998. He inaugurated the “SportsBiz Spotlight” column for NBCSports.com in 2007. His work has also appeared in Sports Business Journal, the Los Angeles Times and other publications.
